چکیده
Exploration of pathogenic potential Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci (CoNS), in human as well animals, gained the importance during past two decades. Emergence Methicillin-Resistant Coagulase-NegativeStaphylococci (MRCoNS) bovine milk poses to be a major public health concern. Presence mecA gene isone most common reasons reported for methicillin resistant bacteria. Since scientific data concerningthe presence and MRCoNS is very limited India, particularly from Gujarat state, the present study was planned detect 25 antibiogram 33 CoNS isolatedfrom 185 mastitis cases between January 2018 December 2019. were isolated themilk samples with prevalence 38.9% (72/185), out which 39 (54.16%) (45.83%)isolates identified coagulase-positive (CoPS) coagulase-negative (CoNS),respectively. Among CoNS, S. xylosus predominantly species (9/33, 27.27%), followedby epidermis (6/33, 18.18%) haemolyticus (4/33, 12.12%). Out these 21 (63.63%)and (75.75%) by disc diffusion method CHROM agar, respectively. Contraryto likelihood, only 3 showed using PCR method. Antibiogram revealedthat isolates (84.85%) multi-drug emphasizing urgent need restricting theindiscriminate use antimicrobial drugs area study.

Resistance to methicillin of coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS) isolated from bovine mastitis.
The aim of this study was to determine the mechanisms of staphylococcal resistance to methicillin. CNS (n = 100 isolates) were prepared from the mammary inflammatory secretions of 86 cows from farms located in the Lublin region. Methicillin-resistant isolates constituted 20.0% of all CNS. Staphylococcus sciuri (n=8) and Staphylococcus xylosus (n=6) were most abundant, followed by Staphylococcus...
متن کاملAntibiotic susceptibility of methicillin-resistant and methicillin-susceptible coagulase-negative staphylococci isolated from bovine mastitis.
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antibiotic susceptibility of methicillin-susceptible (MS) and methicillin-resistant (MR) coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CNS) strains isolated from milk of cows with mastitis. The study was conducted on 100 CNS strains (20 MRCNS and 80 MSCNS) isolated from milk samples of 86 cows from the Lublin (Poland) region farms. Antibiotic susceptibility...
متن کاملA study of coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) isolated from bovine mastitis for the presence of penicillin and methicillin resistance-encoding genes in the north west of Iran
Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are often associated with bovine mastitis and may be resistant to antimicrobial therapy. The aim of the current study was to investigate the presence of blaZ (responsible for penicillin resistance) and mecA (responsible for methicillin resistance) genes among 108 CoNS belonging to 9 different species isolated from bovine mastitis in seven dairy herds (H1-...

INTRODUCTION Bovine mastitis is a frequent cause of economic loss in dairy herds. Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are increasing in importance as causeof bovine intramammary infection (IMI) throughout the world in recent years. CoNShave been isolated from milk samples collected from cows with clinical andsubclinical mastitis in several countries. Identification of mastitis pathogensis i...
متن کاملIdentification and characterization of methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci from bovine mastitis.
OBJECTIVES This study focused on the correlation between geno- and phenotypic tests in the correct assessment of mecA-mediated methicillin resistance among coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) and the further characterization of mecA-positive isolates. METHODS A total of 121 CoNS from cases of bovine mastitis were investigated for oxacillin susceptibility by disc diffusion and broth microd...
